On November 22, Vivo X90 will be launched in China. The Chinese smartphone company announced on Weibo that the new Vivo X series smartphones will be available in its home nation on Monday. Three models — the Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro, and Vivo X90 Pro+ — are anticipated to be part of the upcoming lineup. Additionally, Vivo posted a video on the Chinese microblogging site that gives users a look at the exterior of a smartphone from the X90 series, possibly the X90 Pro+. Quad rear cameras and a camera setup that Zeiss co-engineered are shown in the teaser. Following the Vivo X80 models will be the Vivo X90 series.
The Vivo X90 series is set to debut on November 22. The launch event will occur in China at 7 p.m. local time, per a teaser video the company posted (in Chinese) on Weibo (4:30pm IST). The video shows off the Vivo X90 Pro+’s quad rear cameras and textured rear panel, as was already mentioned. It implies that the phone is available in black and red. On the back panel, it says Extreme Imagination — Vivo | Zeiss Co-engineered. There is also the blue Zeiss logo.
The Vivo X90 series is expected to consist of the standard Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro, and Vivo X90 Pro+. Over the Vivo X80 series models from this year, they should have a few upgrades.
Vivo X90 Pro+, with model number V2227A, was recently found on Geekbench. The upcoming smartphone will have 12GB of RAM, an Android 13 operating system, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, according to the listing. Rumor has it that the Vivo X90 Pro+ will have a curved 6.78-inch Samsung E6 AMOLED screen. The display reportedly has a 2K resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. A 4,700mAh battery that supports wired and wireless fast charging at rates of 50W and 80W could power the device. It is rumored to have the V2 image processing chip from Vivo.
The standard Vivo X90 model is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC, while the Vivo X90 Pro might have a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
